If you are experiencing slow communication speed with Mitsubishi Electric Melsec Q series, please check the following
- Use a public protocol.
The communication speed is faster with public protocols than with non-public protocols.
- Use binary code communication.
The communication speed is faster in binary code communication than in ASCII code communication.
- Securing communication time by setting special registers
In some cases, the following settings have improved communication performance when a large amount of data is being transmitted.
Set a value in the special register "SD315 (Communication Processing Secured)" to speed up the response time.
The specification of SD315 is as follows
- Allocates a specified amount of time for communication processing.
- The larger the specified value, the faster the communication response time will be. However, the scan time will be extended by the specified time.
- Setting range: 1 to 100 ms
- If you set a range other than the above, it will be processed as no setting.
