How to install

  • Download the installer
    Click the download button on this page to download the installer.
    The recommended product to use is 64Bit. However, if any of the following apply to you, please use the 32Bit version.
    • Uses a communication driver that uses the Mitsubishi non-public protocol(*1)(*2)
    • Running on 32BitOS
    • (*1) This feature is provided only in the 32Bit version.
    • (*2) This driver communicates mainly with Mitsubishi Electric’s MELSECNET/CCLINK/CPU direct-coupled ports.
    • *It is possible to use the product of 32 bit version in 64 bit OS. In that case, it operates with WOW64.
    If you choose to install the 64-bit version, please install the 32-bit version at the same time if any of the following conditions apply

    About FA-Engine

    FA-Engine is a completely independent optional package available with the FA-Server license.
    FA-Engine is a PLC communication library (ActiveX) for VisualBasic. All functions for communication are embedded in VisualBasic, so there is no need to start FA-Server, and the system can be developed in the simplest configuration. For more information, please click here*Currently Japanese only.
    To use FA-Engine, download the installer from the button below. (Installation of FA-Server is not required.)

    *Without a license key, FA-Engine operates in virtual communication mode.
    In the virtual communication mode, the device does not actually communicate with the PLC, but behaves as if it is communicating virtually.
    The installer is available in 32Bit and 64Bit versions.
    The recommended version of the product to be used is 32Bit. However, if you wish to compile user applications that incorporate FA-Engine in 64Bit, please install both 32Bit and 64Bit versions.(*1)
    • (*1) If the user application is compiled in 64Bit, “Mitsubishi Private Protocol” cannot be used. The “Mitsubishi Undisclosed Protocol” is a driver that mainly communicates via MELSECNET/CCLINK/CPU Directly Connected Port.
  • Install
    Running the downloaded installer will start the installation wizard, so please follow the wizard to install the software.
    * If the message “Your PC has been protected by Windows” appears when running the installer, press the “More Information” link on the left side and press the “Run” button to launch the installer.
